The Challenge

After opening its newest facility, INNIO Welland Works needed a simple way to help protect the health and safety of employees, access real-time insights, prevent business disruptions, and streamline ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification processes. Because other INNIO sites were already using the Benchmark Gensuite platform, it was a logical next step to implement Benchmark’s integrated suite of digital solutions at their newest facility to simplify EHS compliance and performance management. The new INNIO site needed a centralized system that would simplify and streamline various aspects of their EHS program, from incident reporting and upcoming compliance task reminders to conducting inspections and corrective action follow-up and escalation.

In addition, the site team under the direction of Michael Cocco, Lead Environmental Health & Safety Professional, was focused on achieving certifications for ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety).

This cloud-based solution equipped the team with automated workflows, real-time insights and analytical insights, making it easier to achieve their ISO certification and protect the health and safety of their employees.
