The Eaton team knew that they’d need a process for Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) reporting. They also knew that whatever process they chose needed to fit their organizational structure and unique needs, including allowing for multiple owners of the same KPIs across the organization, streamlined internal and external audits and the ability to gather a library of approved responses and documentation to make reporting seamless, year after year.
The team used an internal gap analysis to identify which disclosures were mandatory, their current disclosure status, the level of effort required and the data sources and systems that would be necessary to complete the various disclosures.
After they had established their reporting requirements and internal needs, they chose to work with the Benchmark Gensuite team to adjust and re-deploy their instances of Disclosure Director to fit their newly clear internal roles and applicability screening.
