Artificial Intelligence (AI) has clearly emerged as the driving force for transformative innovations. The buzz surrounding AI solutions is not merely a fleeting trend; it’s a seismic shift in how we work. As 2023 draws to a close and we look towards 2024, we wanted to thank the Benchmark Gensuite AI subscriber workgroup for our remarkable accomplishments over 2019-2023, setting the stage for the launch of the next phase of our collaboration for AI in 2024.
AI for EHS has initiated the shift to transforming operational data into actionable insights for risk reduction. It now enables real-time, proactive safety management, empowering EHS professionals to focus on strategic engagement and transformative workplace improvements. This technological evolution is an agent to achieving goals surrounding a zero-incident, fatality-free organizational environment.
Starting January 31st, this comprehensive online forum, facilitated by Benchmark Gensuite, will feature educational events, thought leadership on AI, EHS, Sustainability, and ESG, and discussion opportunities with industry experts, presented in a variety of formats, including:
- Webinars
- Roundtables
- Customer Advisory Panels
- A Private LinkedIn Group
“The purpose of the forum is to educate, share challenges and best practices, collaborate and innovate on AI solutions to support EHS and Sustainability functions,” shares Natasha Porter, Chief Customer Officer at Benchmark Gensuite.
Benchmark Gensuite’s Industry-Leading AI Solutions
We have been investing in R&D and incorporating rapidly evolving AI technology into our products since 2015. Our early commitment to embracing AI, coupled with the invaluable inputs of our subscribers, paved the way for the multiple AI Advisors already integrated into our EHS platform and available out-of-the-box to all. Our powerful suite of AI tools includes Describe It AI, PSI AI, and Risk AI Advisor, which significantly impact our subscribers’ operations by helping pinpoint top risks and risk precursors, improving the quality of incident descriptions, and increasing safety.
Our solutions are designed to offer integrated, turnkey AI capabilities from leading-edge technology partners, including Spark Cognition, 3motionAI, Intenseye, and ProtexAI. This enables our subscribers to pick an AI technology solution aligned with their business and program needs and for the data generated from the AI solution to be intelligently woven into the workflow applications in real time. Imagine if you could capture when forklifts are speeding at a facility using computer vision AI, and when that incident occurs, key details and a photo are automatically sent to the Benchmark Gensuite Concern Reporting application for alerting, action management, and trending analysis. Our subscribers are actively doing this today, and it’s truly a game-changer! Our joint investments in these partnerships enable us to offer ready-to-use computer vision / AI-powered products: 360Vision for hazard detection, PPE usage monitoring, and safety risk alerting; Ergo Evaluator AI for video-based ergonomic evaluations, and Chem Advisor enabling information on chemical risks and toxicological harms to be available as part of chemical management product compliance and due diligence efforts, with several additional Integrated AI-powered solutions currently in development.

Recently, The HEICO Companies leveraged Benchmark Gensuite’s PSI AI Advisor™ to enhance their EHS program, achieving over 85% accuracy in identifying potentially serious incidents. This AI and ML-driven technology significantly reduced OSHA recordable injuries, days away from work cases, and workers’ compensation costs. The case study underscores Benchmark Gensuite’s AI technology in improving efficiency, accuracy, and risk management in EHS practices.
AI: The Next Frontier in EHS and Sustainability Innovation
Our AI — for EHS + Sustainability Collaboration Forum will allow businesses to hear the perspectives from a range of industry experts about AI’s current and future impacts on the industry. The EHS community is already taking note, and our subscribers are excited about the future of AI:
“The EHS and Sustainability space is about to get even more exciting and impactful because of the contributions of mature AI and Deep Learning systems. These systems will greatly enhance our understanding, use, and the impact of the information currently locked in large masses of organizational data and hidden in the operating environment and empower EHS and Sustainability Leaders to drive transformative improvement to the protection and future success of the wide group of stakeholders.” – Chet Brandon, Corporate Director, Health, Safety & Environmental Protection at GrafTech International.

Looking Ahead: Our AI Roadmap
We are in an era of radical change. In order to help our customers remain agile, we are rapidly releasing new AI technology for our customers. Unlike anyone else in our industry, as well as enhancing our current AI offerings, our goal is to offer a comprehensive suite of AI solutions integrated with our organically developed tools that customers know and love. Progress is well underway with projects such as two Generative AI solutions, Significant Incident Communication AI and DocMan AI. With these new tools, our customers’ experience will be enriched with faster document overviews and improved significant incident communication, with more to come.
“I am excited for the transformation AI will bring to EHS. In the future, cranes will know not to carry suspended loads above people. Employees’ vitals are monitored to avoid hospitalization and the spread of illness. Waste is automatically segregated for reuse. EHS folks don’t write procedures, input data, or analyze for meaningful solutions. Instead, they engage employees to make the workplace better.” – David Roberts, Vice President Environment Health Safety at The Heico Companies
