How the MCP Connector Brings AI Agents to Your Platform

In August 2026, Benchmark Gensuite introduced its MCP Connector as an open standard for connecting AI agents to enterprise systems, the first scaled enterprise EHS platform provider to offer an MCP as out of the box capability. Now we are showing, not just telling, what that actually looks like in practice, with working demonstrations detailing how your AI agents can reach directly into any of the core applications on our platform, logging, updating, and retrieving records as workflows are initiated and executed in the real world.

Take Safety Hazard Concern Reporting, one of the applications now connected via MCP. Now, an AI agent can seamlessly act on notifications received from other systems to log that data and initiate the hazard reporting workflow in Benchmark Gensuite – no manual data entry and no structured data packets to construct to call available API endpoints. That’s the kind of capability the MCP Connector is designed to make effortless, application by application.

Here’s what that looks like across the six applications now connected via MCP:

ApplicationWhat’s SupportedWhat It Looks Like in Practice
Action Tracking SystemRetrieve, create, updatePull every overdue action across a site and update an assignee or due date without leaving the conversation.
Concern ReportingRetrieve, create, updateLog a concern the moment it’s raised, in plain language, as part of the flow of work.
Compliance CalendarRetrieve, create, updateAsk what’s due this month or create and update entries as requirements change.
Permit to WorkRetrieve, create, updateCheck whether a hot work or confined space permit is active before the job starts, or open a new permit request the moment the work is ready to begin.
Waste TrackerRetrieve, createGenerate a new waste profile as soon as a stream is identified.
Inspection ToolRetrieveCheck an inspection’s status, checklist, or checklist details directly.

See It in Action

We’re sharing one of our demo walkthroughs here, showing exactly what these capabilities look like in real time, from a natural-language request from an external agent to an action completed or business risk workflow initiated by Genny AI via the MCP Connector.

What’s Next

These six demonstrated applications are the first wave. As we keep building, we’re working toward bringing the full Genny AI suite into reach, connecting more applications and APIs, and eventually making Benchmark Gensuite available directly through agentic platforms from OpenAI and Anthropic. We’re also building on our system-level access tokens to provision user-based tokens personalized to individual user permissions.

Frequently Asked Questions

MCP Connector comes in two subscription tiers: standard and advanced. Both tiers include access to the Genny AI MCP Agent, which interprets natural-language requests and routes them to the appropriate authorized API or agent capability within the platform to serve an external agent’s request.

Standard MCP provides access to API endpoints across subscribed core applications, including Incident Management, CAPA/Action Tracking, Concern Reporting, Inspections and Obligation Management.

Advanced MCP offers expanded, AI-orchestrated access progressively to the full API library and subscribed Genny AI agents within the platform.

Our demonstrations show what these access tiers look like in practice.

Action Tracking System, Concern Reporting, Compliance Calendar, Permit to Work, Waste Tracker, and Inspection Tool. Capabilities vary by application — most support retrieving, creating, and updating records; Waste Tracker supports retrieving and creating; Inspection Tool currently supports retrieval.

Benchmark Gensuite is building toward personalized, user-level access, connecting more applications and APIs, and working toward listing in enterprise agentic platforms, including Anthropic, OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google.

The idea behind Benchmark Gensuite’s MCP Connector is connecting AI agents directly and securely to the operational platform your organization already relies on every day for risk management — a system of action, not just a system of record.
