With ambitious goals for ongoing innovation and global expansion, the leading multinational glass and ceramics company was looking to fully digitize its EHS and sustainability programs across 110 global sites. The company sought to prevent various departments and functions from becoming siloed and disconnected while meeting its diverse teams’ site-specific demands.
The company needed a comprehensive EHS&S platform that would enable it to:

The Benchmark Gensuite team worked closely with the organization’s EHS&S leadership team to identify the application modules that would meet the company’s digital platform and transformation objectives.
Next, specific application configurations were defined and implemented. The company needed to address both global and regional program standardization drivers as well as the needs of business segments and key sites for process execution and workflow.
After establishing the digital platform and key IT systems integrations—Single Sign On, HR directory, a third-party risk management system tie-in, and more—the Benchmark Gensuite team readied the company’s instance for user acceptance testing (UAT), final self-service configuration, and deployment readiness in Phase 1 of the launch.
Following its formal commitment in September 2018, the company saw rapid progress. App configuration pilot sites launched deployment planning starting in October 2018. By April 2019, the platform had been rolled out across the enterprise, with Benchmark Gensuite conducting 40+ employee training sessions in four languages.
The Phase 1 global deployment conducted over a 3-month period was highly successful, with growing engagement and early results—leading the company to initiate a Phase 2 and Phase 3 follow-on deployment focused on additional key imperatives such as:
